Description

The AR:One is the bike of choice for Ferei Quick-Panda Podium Mongolia Team with 12 pro victories in the 2024 season.
188cm tall Oskar Nisu on his XL sized AR:One Team Edition bike.

Born to Race

The Quick Pro AR:One was designed from day one with a single purpose: win races. The project was started when QUICK decided to launch their high-end brand QUICK PRO. At the same time, QUICK sponsored the Ferei Quick-Panda Podium Mongolia Team. The Directeur sportif
of the team was also assigned as product manager of the AR:One to ensure the frame met the needs of the team.

Frame cost, marketability, and commercial viability were all ruled irrelevant. They had a simple brief: make an unapologetic race bike.

The result? A frame that boasts aggressive geometry and unrivalled stiffness all while weighing less than 700 grams.

With most of the teams races being fly-away races an all-round design was chosen. The bike had to be able to handle the >10,000m of climbing of the Tour of Puoyang lake, while also be stiff enough to hand the >2000 watt sprints of Martin Laas.

Practicality was also high on the list of priorities. A BSA threaded bottom bracket makes the team mechanic's job easier while a simple round headtube allows team members to run either integrated handlebars or separate bar and stems as they see fit.

Stiffness to Weight

The most important ratio in a performance race frame is arguably the stiffness to weight ratio. The AR:One excels in this area thanks to it's True Monocoque Technology and use of high modulus fibers. High stiffness to weight is what gives the frame it's lively feeling and allows it to deliver race-winning sprints.

Aero Optimized

The AR:One was developed to strike a balance between weight, stiffness and aerodynamic efficiency. The tube profiles were designed using a wind-tunnel verified computation fluid dynamics (CFD) model. With the team's sprint speeds often exceeding 70kph, the importance of aero cannot be overstated.

Details

Small details can make a big difference. With the AR:One no stone was left unturned in the search for performance. The supplied bottle cage bolts are made of titanium and a direct-mount rear derailleur hanger is included.

For those wishing to use the bike for shorter races, such as criteriums, there is the option to mount the down tube bottle cage extra low to lower the center of gravity and maximise aero efficiency.

True Monocoque Technology

QUICK have been producing true monocoque frames since 2014. With their in-house equipment they are able to manufacture their own monocoque moulds allowing the entire frame to be produced as a single piece with no post-mould bonding required.

Full Safety Inspection on Every Frameset

Building a frame so light requires precision manufacturing at every step of production. Every frame is given a full quality control inspection before leaving the factory, including X-Ray analysis of every frame produced.

Panda Podium Sizing Advice

As a dedicated race bike, the AR:One features very aggressive geometry. The reach figures of each equivalent size are similar to the equivalent western brand bike (For example, an SL8.) However stack figures are roughly 10mm lower than the equivalent western road bike. For the XL (58cm) this is more like 20mm.

The frame is supplied with a regular 20mm offset seatpost. However a zero-offset seatpost is available for purchase.

If you have any questions about fit, feel free to get in touch with us and our professional team will be happy to help.

Who's it for?

The AR:One isn't for everyone. It's a purebred race bike. Designed for those who prioritise performance over a relaxed riding position.

Colour Options

Matt Black

For those who prioritise absolute performance. The Matt Black option is the lightest paint job. The exposed carbon allows one to appreciate the layup of the frame and it's True Monocoque construction.

Team Edition

As raced by our UCI Continental team; Ferei Quick-Panda Podium Mongolia Team. The frame features a beautiful cracked ice front end, fading to a glossy black before revealing the pure carbon beneath a glossy clear coat. Brushed metallic logos complete the classy look.

Harlequin (Limited Edition)

Black is boring? No problem, we've got you. The limited edition Harlequin paint job stands out in the breakaway. The combination of fluorescent colours and exposed carbon fiber make for a flashy paint job. Extensive use of water transfer decals keeps the weight low too.

Real-World Weights

Many brands have different standards for how they weigh their frames. With or without paintjobs. With or without metal inserts / accessories, etc. To be fully transparent, we've collected the following data for your consideration:

1 review for QUICK PRO AR:One Carbon Road Bike Frameset

  1. 5 out of 5

    Joe Whittingham

The QUICK PRO AR:One is the first disc brake frame I’ve ridden that recreates the lively, stiff “I just wanna ride fast” feeling of high-end rim brake bikes from 5-6 years ago. The word “Stiff” gets thrown around a lot in the bike industry, but this frame is crazily stiff, which is impressive considering it’s super lightweight nature. The specs read for themselves, so I won’t dwell on them, but the ride feel is what keeps me coming back to the AR:One. The head tube and seat tube seem to be locked in perfect 1:1 unison which seem to just encourage you to get out of the saddle and lay down the power. On the downhills in gives me way more confidence than I should perhaps have. A lack of toe overlap in my size (S) is also a welcome. The BSA bottom bracket gets rid of any potential drama of the build, and a standard round head tube gives plenty of options for the cockpit. For the negatives; the stiff ride has a price to pay when it comes to comfort. It’s certainly not the most comfortable bike out there, but the way this bike begs you to go full-gas from the gun, you won’t be in the saddle for long enough for it to become a problem. But… seriously, those wanting an armchair on wheels should look elsewhere, if you want a bike that goes fast (and feels like it goes fast!) then the AR:One is the race bike for you.
