This Cybrei crankset allowed me to drop weight to get my SL7 Tarmac to 14 pounds and still use my Dura Ace chainrings for crisp shifting. I was concerned about moving to this power meter which gets less than stellar reviews but so far I’ve had no issues with the xCadey power meter other than adjusting the power output reading with the mobile app. I compared my power output from my Wahoo trainer to the Xcadey power meter and adjusted to 95% since it was over estimating the reading when tested against my old Power2Max and Wahoo Kickr.

This is my second Cybrei crankset from Pandapodium. This time with the Xcadey Powermeter. I cannot say much about the powermeter yet, but the crank is just a real gem. Fit and finish is top level. And yes it is a solid 100gr. lighter with powermeter than the Dura-Ace crank without powermeter it replaces. But even if weight wasn’t an argument, I just like the look better.
If I have to dig really hard for some criticism it might be that a dub axle and a BSA bottom bracket is not the ideal combination from a longgevity view, but I’ve had no issues with my other one and hey: Maybe Pandapodium will offer the 24mm axle version soon, that Cybrei make.

It’s good, stiff, and easy enough to install.
I used this with 12 speed ultegra chain rings 50-34. The total weight with the power meter, crank, and ultegra chainrings installed was 599gr. I went with ultegra because I wanted it to be more reliable with shifting as Shimano pairs best with Shimano.
The manual for install was surprisingly good.
The power meter worked great with my Garmin and used a simple app to setup – very easy and quick. I’ve heard the power isn’t super accurate but it’s been consistent so far. if it’s off by a few percent, it’s consistently off by the same amount. If you want you can manually adjust the power setting to compensate for this.
The only thing I don’t like is the proprietary cable. Panda Podium, I think you guys should send two cables for how cheap they are. If you loose the cable it’s not common and will take a week or so to get a new one shipped. Even putting an option to ship with a second cable for an extra 5 bucks is a good idea.
Highly recommend this crank and power meter combo over ultegra or dura ace.
