Impact Strength Enhanced (ISE)
The ISE principle departs from the conventional focus on either stiffness or strength. By carefully adjusting the tube diameter, the Rhapsody achieves thicker tubing without extra weight. This design strengthens critical areas like the downtube, seatstays, and chainstays, improving impact resistance and shock absorption, thereby enhancing the frame’s structural integrity during crashes.
Shock Absorption System (SAS)
The carbon fiber layup and tubing shapes in the Rhapsody create a distinct upper shock-absorbing zone formed by the top tube, seat tube, and seat stays. The flat design of these components allows for better flexibility and compliance, filtering out road shocks and reducing rider fatigue for longer, more comfortable rides.
Handling-Oriented Geometry
The bike’s longer reach and slacker head angle (68 degrees with a 100mm fork) enhance control on technical descents, boosting rider confidence. At 426mm, the short chainstays improve agility and traction, bringing the rear wheel closer to the rider’s center of gravity. This geometry makes the Rhapsody highly responsive on tight turns, switchbacks, and technical sections.
Generous Tyre Clearance
The Rhapsody allows for maximum tire clearances of 3.0 inches with 25mm rims and 2.7 inches with 30mm rims. This ensures mud and sand don’t impede the rear wheel’s rotation, especially as wider 30mm rims and 2.4-inch tires become standard in XC racing. However, certain 2.6-inch and 2.7-inch tires may not fit due to their larger side knobs
T47 Threaded Bottom Bracket
The frame’s pre-embedded T47 bottom bracket threads weigh only 7 grams per side, offering improved stiffness, precise construction, and a lighter overall weight compared to traditional glued-on thread systems. This design eliminates concerns about cracked paint around the bottom bracket.
Three Bottle Cage Mounts
The Rhapsody offers three bottle cage mounts, making it ideal for cross-country marathon racers and endurance cyclists. The mounts feature stainless steel base plates for secure attachment, enhancing functionality while adding a unique touch.
Fast Catch System (FCS)
The Fast Catch System is a first-of-its-kind top tube bag solution featuring a dial closure. This design prevents items inside from rattling on rough terrain and allows for quick access to contents while riding. The FCS top tube bags come standard with the Rhapsody.
Integrated Protection System (IPS)
The Integrated Protection System safeguards the frame against damage from handlebar or fork crown impacts during crashes. It includes a metal pin inside the head tube and an anti-collision upper headset cup, integrated seamlessly with the top tube.
Stock Chain Guide
The proprietary chain guide is lightweight, easy to adjust, and fits various chainring sizes, providing simple and reliable performance.
30.9mm Seat Post Diameter＆Internal Cable Routing
Opting for a 30.9mm seat post diameter ensures greater durability and fewer mechanical issues compared to narrower options, making the Rhapsody compatible with robust and reliable dropper posts. With the rise of electronic and wireless shifting, the Rhapsody features internal cable routing for a cleaner look and easier maintenance.
V-PEAKS
V-PEAKS represents the pinnacle of technology and quality in both the Voicecelo and VFV product lines. Made from high modulus carbon fiber with a lightweight paint finish, the Rhapsody V-PEAK frame weighs just 850 grams (Size Medium), symbolizing the pursuit of ultimate cycling performance.
