My evo s5 with cs bearings set arrived a week ago. they are crazy stiff, fast rolling, light and responsive. My set came in just 1198g. Internal 24.5 mm and external 31.5mm at widest point. I have replaced the ratchet immediately. dtswiss star ratchet sl 54t (non exp) fully compatible with these wheelset. you only need remove the purple colour spacers in the hub. The spacers I mentioned are located underneath the springs on both sides. You need to remove them first. Result is amazing. Sounds like heaven, rolls like hell.

These wheels are superb. I am coming off of a set of CRW 4045’s, and they were seriously the greatest wheels I’ve ever ridden for a disc road bike. I wanted to try these out just for kicks as I had recently sold the other bike with the CRW’s.
I went with the 50’s on these against my normal shallow rim riding style. I wanted to try the wider internal width out. My CRW’s were just under 1200 grams, these are 1278 I believe. I don’t care honestly I do just weigh my stuff for fun.
I never got blown around on the CRW’s, I’m light too at 152 pounds. The EVOs I do get a front wheel drift in a wind gust, it’s not obnoxious but I do feel it. It’s a gentle push so to speak.
Zero difference in avg speed or power with them, nothing detectable by normal human measuring devices anyway (power meter, heart rate, avg speed, etc).
They wheels are very stiff though, which I do appreciate. They rip up to speed quite quickly, and oddly, aren’t bad over rough roads either.
I do appreciate the solid rim bed, no more tubeless tape to deal with. I may regret that if I ever break a spoke/nipple, but I mounted up a set of Pirelli Race 4S’s and I did it without levers. Poured in sealant, sealed up with a floor pump and I didn’t even remove the valve core. Easy peasy for me.
These are right up there with the CRW’s in my opinion, I’d get whichever is available and/or cheaper in the moment, unless the appearance is maybe skewing you one way or the other.
Great wheels, and as always great service from Panda Podium.

Awesome! All the performance benefits you would expect from such specs are immediately evident and appreciable. Fitting and seating with a floor pump was a breeze. While no spare spokes, other goodies included are a nice touch. Moreover, while I was concerned about the cross wind comparison with my old and heavy 40/50 wheels, which I assumed would have me swapping on a regular basis, I was pleasantly surprised that they in fact are less affected. Testament to the profile design. Very impressed. Great value. Buy with confidence!

I ordered the 50mm version with the Ceramic Speed and carbon spokes options.
The order was placed, and paid for, but I had to follow up PP to check the order was received because it was not receipted or acknowledged.
Wheels arrived within a few weeks which was fine as they needed to be built to order.
I bought these for my no expense spared Cervelo Soloist Sram Red build.
Wheels were crazy light straight from the box. Quality was on par with anything I had used previously.
I fitted the Maxxis High Road – 700 x 28C – HYPR with 45g butyl tubes, going for the lightest set up possible.
Immediately I noticed how harsh these wheels were with 58psi f and 65psi r. I weigh 74kg. That’s a carbon spoke thing?
The second thing immediately noticed was the instability at speed and any wind or gusts at any yaw. Greater focus is required and a stronger grip on the bars.
I am a confident bike handler. This would be scary for anyone with less skills.
I did swap out to my old wheel tyre set up, Light Bicycle, 45mm, DT Swiss 240 Hubs 25mm internal, hookless with 28mm Continental GP5000 28mm S TR’s with the same Galfer rotors. 31mm tyre fitted and 33mm rim width. 54psi front 59psi rear.
Amazing the difference in the smoothness and stability, chalk and cheese! They feel faster, smoother and much more predictable than the Far Sports set up.
The Light Bicycle rim/tyre interface gets closer to the 105 rule, where as the Far Sports rim/tyre width is the same with 28’s. 31mm tyre width and 31mm rim width. I believe the rim width needs to wider to offer more stability with the 24mm internal or a 25mm tyre is need on the front.
The Farsports set up is 200g lighter, but weight isn’t everything. My bike still weighs 7kg with pedals and computer mount with the old wider tubeless set up.
I will fit up the Conti tubeless set up at some stage to check any differences to handling.
