I bought these wheels on 08/21/24 and they were delivered to me on 09/3/24 with regular shipping, not bad from China to Utah in 13 days (including two weekends and a holiday). They came in just over the advertised weight at 1442g, but well within the +/- 2% limit and still seemed staggeringly light for wheels this deep. My first impression was they very good, the wheels looked great and everything seemed very precise. Finish is immaculate on both front and rear, spokes were all perfectly faced with no rubbing or touching between spokes, and I loved that they came with a nice set of brake lock rings. I put a set of Continental 5000S TR 28s on which went on fairly easily and mounted so tight that there was no apparent air leak even before I put sealant in. Due to the nice wide internal rim width, the measured inflated width was 31mm front and 30mm rear for my set of 28s. I went for a test ride and immediately knew these were an amazing set of wheels. Lighter, deeper, and wider than the ENVE 4.5 SES I had been riding, they were snappy on acceleration and held speed amazingly well – which is exactly what I was hoping for. I have put 770 miles on these wheels so far in the last 3 weeks, but this includes the full LoToJa (longest UCI certified race in the US) and Salt to Saint (Salt Lake City to Saint George, Utah), and let me tell you – the climbing on LoToJa is no joke and these wheels acted like they were box rim climbers. The only thing I can complain about is something I fully expected when I choose to buy rims this deep, when I finished the 3rd big climb riding LoToJa and started my descent, I was hit by massive side winds and was blown around some. Again when I descended Suncrest riding in S2S I was blown around pretty good coming down the South side. Like I said, I expected this because as good as these wheels are, physics is a thing. Other that that I have zero complaints. I have set so many PRs since mounting these wheels that I’m thinking about selling my ENVEs and getting a shallower set. If you are reading this review trying to make up your mind about buying… just order, now. Performance at this price feels like I’m cheating.
