Description
Avian Falcon II
A modern, high-tech handlebar thats superlight with progressive, modern geometry.
Raced by our Pro Team
We understand that with a handlebar, a primary concern is safety and reliability. For the ultimate test, we put the Avian handlebar on our UCI Continental Team's bikes. The Ferei Quick Panda Podium Mongolia Team are using mostly the Avian Falcon II handlebar with some riders opting for the Avian Canary on their climbing bike. As well as putting out monster watts, pro riders bikes are constantly being packed and unpacked and transported all around the world. It's the ultimate test of equipment durability.
Modern Geometry
The trend for narrower and narrower bars continues, and Avian are at the forefront of this trend offering the Falcon II in 36cm options measured at the hoods. a 5 degree flare for the drops gives an additional 2cm of width for sprinting in the drops. A short 70mm reach and compact 125mm drop make for a bar that's comfortable in a multitude of hand positions.
High-Tech Construction
Using the latest construction methods, stiffness to weight is maximized. While the Falcon II doesn't claim to be the stiffest bar in the world, for it's weight, it's very impressive. Stiffness is on par with many mainstream bars such as the Vi**on 5D.
High-end Accessories
The bolts supplied with the Avian bar are titanium, and the GPS computer mount is carbon fiber. While this bar may cost less than most big brands, "affordable" doesn't mean "cheap."

The product and the service are incredible!
Tom helped me trough the process of measuring steerer tubes to get the correct spaces for my bike.
Installing it is a bit of a pain but this is the case with all internal cable routing products.
Mine weighs 309 grams in 380mm x 100 mm including the Garmin mount top cap and screws.

First, the packaging was excellent and the bars were in beautiful condition. My order was for 380 width and a 120 stem, and although I’m not a huge guy (5’ 11” and 150), they seem very stiff to me. I cannot perceive any flex when climbing or sprinting. I would definitely buy again. The only issue is it was really challenging running all the internal cables and Di2 wires. I had to run string with small fishing weights attached through the bars first and use those to pull cables and strings around bends and through holes. It was a test of patience at times, but this is true of any integrated bar and stem with internal routing.

Firstly my review of Panda Podium. Phenomenal, a breath of fresh air for online shopping. Tom must have amended my order (at my request) about three times with 0 questions asked. All my questions prior to purchase were promptly answered.
Next my review of the product. Packaging excellent. The product has been excellent and after about 700 miles I can safely say that I would recommend these handlebars to anyone. They are simply beautiful. I encountered one problem during the fitting process where I had to file down the 3D printed spacer adapter, again no problem and about 30 seconds work with a file. There’s no flex in the bars and I have had lots of compliments on them.
I don’t think you could actually buy a better set of handlebars for even close to the cost of these.
I have since ordered another product from Panda Podium.

As a previous owner of the Avian Canary I decided to try the Falcon after crashing and breaking my handlebars.
The Falcon is a little wider, a little more aero looking, about 40 grams heavier (mine was 290 grams) and much stiffer than the Avian, in fact, the Falcon is very stiff.
Nice and ergonomic as well.
Please be aware that the Flacon has a shorter reach being 70mm

On paper everything is fine with the Falcon II.
I’ve got two OD2 versions of these and the quality is not consistent. 1st one has a bit of an issue with the 1 1/4″ diameter not being 100% round. On the 2nd one the eyelets for the clamping screws are dodgy looking and not well manufactured.
But the biggest issue is the 7-8Nm minium torque for the steerer clamp! Make sure your frameset/ fork has not an issue with that! Since the stem hight is only 31mm, it will loosen itself when only torqued with less than 7Nm and the cockpit won’t stay in place. In my case it cracked the fork steerer on my Propel fork after 400km.
I would highly recommend only buying OD1 (1 1/8″) versions, and only to use it with round steerer tubes.
